Please read our criteria carefully. This is the only route you can follow to the application itself. It is our intention to present our criterion as clearly as possible to aid you in making a better web presentation. The purpose of our program is not just to issue awards. Our goal is to provide help and encouragement to webmasters, and through that, to help make the Internet a more positive place for all - especially for our families and children.

Before we discuss what we'd like to see in a website, let's discuss what we DO NOT want to view. While we respect the rights of people to produce sites that are not family friendly, please respect our desire not to review them. Read the NOTICE!

The “NOTICE”…

There are NO CIRCUMSTANCES where we will issue an award or evaluate a website that: contains adult and/or any sexually explicit material, contains any hate messages, participates in or promotes any illegal activity such as Warez, or is considered of an evil nature. At VSDA Web Awards, we only evaluate and award family-friendly/child safe websites. To be perfectly clear on this point, this rule pertains to content on your website AND to external links on your website.

Final Note

	Our award is an overall web design award. We are looking for distinction in content, navigation and technical expertise combined with an excellence in design and creativity that incorporates a clean and visually appealing layout. Artistic and pleasing use of colours is a must, as are well designed and optimized graphics and, if implemented, the appropriate use of Flash. Full Flash sites are welcome to apply, also. We will be looking at all aspects of your design from an artistic and technical perspective and you will gain or lose significant points in this area.

	Now that you've read what we are looking for in a site and what will disqualify a site, do you feel that your site is ready? If so, then proceed to the Self Test by clicking on the button below. When taking the Self Test, please try and be honest with yourself. If your site doesn't measure up yet, chances are you won't score enough points for an award. If you think that our Evaluators will overlook or "miss" serious deficiencies...they won't!
