I am a professionally qualified graphic designer and illustrator. As an art editor, I have viewed and critiqued many illustrators and photographers portfolios, commissioned art and designed magazines for London publishing houses, B.B.C and Haymarket. After learning how to transfer my designs from paper to the screen I have begun to work in website development, designing sites for others. I am the webmistress and designer of my own site Firestarter Pyrography which is dedicated to the unusual and fascinating art of wood burning.

I am also proud to be the owner and evaluator for The Firestarter Awards and the owner and designer of Spiral Pixel .

Peter S. - England - Official Evaluator

Peter Stevens, known as "Steve", is from Lowestoft in the UK. He's been involved with computers since he first acquired a BBC "B", way back in 1980. Everything he's learned to date has been from the ground up, but throughout, he's stuck to a simple maxim: set time aside every day to either perfect or learn something new.

Peter's interests include most forms of land and sea transport and he's been a collector for many years. A visit to his home has been remarked upon as being like "a trip to an interesting museum." Peter is the proud owner and designer of the award-winning website, RMS Caronia Timeline.

Peter says...
"I've been an award seeker for a number of years, and learned a great deal through submitting sites. Having been through their process twice, I've always been impressed with the positive responses that I've received from VSDA. I feel very privileged to have been invited to join the VSDA team and I'm looking forward to learning lots more!"
